01What is an RFID system?+

An RFID system uses electronic tags and radio-frequency readers to identify tagged items. A complete operational solution also needs antennas, read-zone design, workflow rules, exception handling, software and integration so that radio observations become dependable business events.

02Does RFID replace barcodes?+

Not always. RFID is useful for automated, high-volume, rapid or less line-of-sight-dependent identification. Barcode and QR remain effective for deliberate, economical scans. Many operations use both.

03Can RFID work around metal or liquids?+

Yes, but performance depends on tag construction, mounting, distance, orientation, frequency and the surrounding environment. On-metal tags and engineered placement can help, but representative testing is essential.

04How accurate is RFID?+

Accuracy is an engineered outcome rather than a universal percentage. It depends on the tag, item, reader, antenna, zone, movement and software rules. A proof of concept should test the required workflow under realistic conditions.

05Can Flatorb integrate RFID with our ERP, WMS or asset system?+

Yes. Flatorb can expose controlled RFID events through APIs, files or other agreed interfaces, or operate an RFID-enabled workflow layer that exchanges data with existing systems.

06Can an international RFID project be delivered remotely?+

Much of discovery, design, software configuration, integration, testing coordination, training and support can be delivered online. Flatorb can also arrange on-site assessment, installation and commissioning when the physical work or customer preference requires it.
